I have been a freelance photographer since 1983 covering National and Local Newspaper commissions. I have also photographed over 500 Weddings!
I started off my career in photography when I was given a second hand 35 mm camera as a present, not knowing anything about apertures, lenses, types of film, exposures etc. I taught myself how to use the camera, and how to develop and print the negatives. Within 3 months I had my first photo printed in a local newspaper!
I took to photography like a duck to water. I had an instant love for the medium of film, and later on digital photography. I still get a buzz when I capture a scene that to me sums up what I can see through the lens, and then to view the photo in a magazine or newspaper and sometimes on national TV.
Over the past few year I have put together a series of lectures that I think appeal to both the beginner and more advanced photographer. I also have compiled a lively lecture featuring just some of my past photographic commissions from getting my first exclusive front page photo in the "Sun" to a night I'll never forget when I photographed Michael Jackson.
These lectures have been heard by local WI groups, Camera
clubs, Rotary clubs and passengers on board major Cruise ships
